Frontend Developer (f/m/d)

THE OPPORTUNITY

​

Our team works on several initiatives, such as AR virtual try-on and recommendations that support awesome customer experiences when finding their best fit for glasses. We look to add you as an experienced frontend developer (f/m/d) to take a leading role in developing the core technology of our products. If you collected several years of experience delivering (mobile) web products to many users and have a great sense of cloud-native development and software quality, we need to talk.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

​

  • Designing, planning, and implementation of cross-device Web Apps, for internal and external users

  • Evaluate current technologies and pick the right tools for the tasks at hand

  • Debate, discuss and decide on the overall architecture

  • Collaborate with the UI/UX designers and computer vision experts to bring the best user experience in eyecare to the market

  • Test-automate for cross-browser, cross-platform and/or cross-device compatibility

  • Write beautiful, elegant, easy to maintain, and understandable code

  • Documenting and describing decisions in diagrams and comments

 

WHAT YOU BRING

​

  • Excellent JavaScript / CSS / HTML skills and lots of experience

  • Understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks (we use e.g., React)

  • Nice to have: Experience with current 3D and Augmented Reality frameworks

  • Great mindset for software quality, testability, and efficiency

  • Experience with REST APIs and/or API Gateways (GraphQL, ElasticSearch)

  • Professional experience with test automation, writing meaningful (unit) tests, and modern tools for CI/CD

  • Comfortable initiating and driving complex technical decisions, including all necessary communication

  • Very good English for collaboration, but also for creating documentation, diagrams, and easily understandable code
